Seminar appointments in 2018

On Wednesday and Thursday, 25. to 26 February 2015 :we will be offering the seminar entitled "Fundamentals of corrosion and corrosion testing techniques".

One of the key tasks in coatings technology is an improvement in the ability of coated substrates to resist corrosion in the chosen environment. In order to examine the results of the treatment, there are a number of standards available that apply to corrosion testing.

The seminar on offer communicates basic knowledge of the causes of corrosion and corrosion testing techniques. This is essential to be able to evaluate the results of tests in a meaningful way.

The focus during the seminar is, however, on implementing and evaluating corrosion tests with reference to the applicable standards. During the sessions, practical exercises will be carried out using the facilities available at the Institute.

Target group: This seminar is aimed at anyone who wishes to acquire fundamental knowledge of corrosion protection techniques. Since the seminar deals with both the fundamentals of performing corrosion tests and their application, it is suited to both those participants just becoming acquainted with the topic and those who have some experience in the field of corrosion testing. The content is designed so that those participants who are regularly confronted with the results of corrosion analyses can acquire and expand basic knowledge on how the data is collated.

No previous technical knowledge required.

The seminar is arranged in such a way that a two-way dialogue is actively encouraged to enable individual questions from participants to be discussed.
