Seminar: Fundamentals of electroplating & painting technology
On Tuesday 27 May 2014 from 9:00, we are offering our seminar entitled "Fundamentals of electroplating and paint technology".
This seminar will communicate the fundamentals of paint finishing and electroplating.
The seminar is broken down into three parts:
In the introductory phase, we spend some time discussing the processes available for applying metallic layers.
After that we focus on in-depth basics of paint finishing (application techniques and the representation of the various coating materials available).
We discuss both the advantages and disadvantages of each method as well as the characteristics typical of each coating system.
The seminar is aimed at those keen to acquire fundamental understanding of paint technology, in particular in view of combinations of metallic and organic coating systems.
The seminar also touches on interface issues between smooth and organic coatings.
No previous technical knowledge required.
The seminar is to be conducted in cooperation with the DFO German Research Association for Surface Treatments. The DFO is the leading technical & scientific association in the field of industrial paint coatings. IGOS is just one of the over 160 members of the Association, which is active throughout Europe.
